Application details:

Torbay Council refused planning permission for the erection of a residential dwelling on 21st June 2019 on the basis that the proposed property by reason of its siting, size, scale and design being considered to form an incongruous feature to Edginswell Close.

A planning appeal (ref. APP/X1165/W/19/3233829) upheld the Council’s decision on 5th December 2019, although noted that the single storey form of the proposal ‘would be in keeping with the character and appearance of the area’.
